In Memory of Michelle...

November 9, 1984 - July 21, 2007

Thank you to everyone who brought us a special ornament for Michelle's Remembrance palm tree. The tree still remains up...

And thanks also to everyone who put a special message into Michelle's Christmas stocking this year...our plans are to have those cards, letters and pictures displayed in a album sometime soon.

Team Shellbells was the #1 fundraising team at the Grand Rapids walk this year (2009).  We had 96 walkers that came out and braved the wind, rain, and frigid temperatures that evening.  Thanks for your support.  Together we can help those affected by blood cancers.

If tears could build a stairway...And memories were a lane, 

We would walk right up to Heaven, And bring you back again...

 AN ODE TO MICHELLE

Here lies a lovely young lady, only twenty-two,

Who’s life ended too quickly, and up to Heaven flew.

Loving daughter, sister cousin, niece and special friend,

Oh how we all wish her life, had not come to an end.

Her memory we will cherish, wonderful times we all have shared,

In our hearts we will always know, how much she always cared,

She made us all feel special, on earth with us a short while,

All she touched will remember her sparkling eyes and sweet smile.

Now in Heaven with our God, free from illness and fear,

She’s dancing with angels now, and others no longer here,

Farewell our little Shell Bell, till we see you once again,

At last our tears will all dry up, and aching hearts shall mend.

           Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one  can steal.

Our mission is to CURE leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin disease and myeloma...while improving the quality of life of patients & their families.
